Description:  This course is designed for water treatment plant operators, sewage treatment plant operators, plumbers and other maintenance personnel. The course will include a general overview of maintenance issues like spare parts stocking and ordering, tools required, cleaning methods, lubrication, general maintenance procedures on check valves and relief valves. Repair and maintenance videos will be viewed and discussed and then repair demonstrations on various devices will be performed by the instructor. A hands-on informal work session will give students time to disassemble and reassemble some of the devices on their own. A quiz will be given at the conclusion of the course. This course objective is to give a more detailed overview and introduction than the 4 hour version of this course, however, it is still not a certification course.
 
 
Course Level:  Basic  through Intermediate.

Course Content:- Introduction * General Repair and Maintenance Information * Safety, Tools, Cleaning, Lubricants, Parts * Check valve repair workshop demonstration and hands-on practice on all common types of checks. * Relief Valve Repair Workshop explanation of operation, demo, and hands-on practice. * Quiz

Target Audience:  Water operators, wastewater plant operators, distribution system personnel, plumbers and other maintenance personnel.
